Summertime at School

Students were dismissed on May 15, 2008, but that doesn’t mean the doors are locked in the school buildings and no one comes in during the summer. Instead there are a lot of maintenance and custodial work being accomplished while the students are enjoying the sun, fun and leisure time, or should we say rain, storms and high waters!)

Many of the hallway walls in the elementary are being repainted. The office area has also received a fresh coat of paint and will be ready for students in the fall. Several walls in the hallways at the ms/hs are also being painted. Carpeting will replace the hallway tile and will be put down over the summer months.

Barb and Darci have been using a "rainbow" of colors. What will the final color be?

The elementary playground equipment is being moved and new matting will be placed underneath it. This will make the area safer for students.

The custodians are cleaning classrooms from top to bottom preparing for the arrival of students on August 20. Enjoy your vacation, but know that major preparations are happening in order to maintain the school.
